I now have busted knee’s. The muscles have given way to mush. The bones are cracking like eggshells and I have been over-taken by over-weight, middle-aged men. But I get there, and by there I mean the best view I have ever seen.

Forests, temples, stairs – this is Nikko, Japan. Scenic, mountain views house an array of grand temples and detailed shrines, a day trip to The Temples of Nikko has so much to offer. But get your walking boots on to see them all, its going to be a long trek.

Colourful, shiny, pristine. These are all words I’d use to describe the temples seen throughout Thailand. However, they may become a little ‘same ‘. If you fancy something different, and before you get a little bit ‘templed-out,’ head to Ayutthaya.
We thought being on our honeymoon meant we’d get a fancy upgrade, maybe even meet the pilot and see the cockpit. Nope, none of that happened. So, whilst in Bangkok, we went and found our own cockpit to play in.

The Songthaew is a great little invention for getting around Koh Samui. A cross between a bus and taxi service, I believe, is the best way to get around…
